Family Time at the water hole

Grannie and kids and some older off spring came in for a drink at the watering Hole.
Many babies from last year were included. Its almost hard to tell them apart from the parents.

Show off!!!!!:) Wonderful to see them Marilyn!! They look pretty shaggy tho. Could you go out and comb them a little.:):) I know you would love too!:):)

Your shots seem taken close to the deer and they don't appear spooked. Are they mule deer or more like our PA white tail? All good pictures but I don't see any antlers.

The fur is leaving slowly Erv. i'd love to brush them and put ribbons in the girls fur.

Good to see the family returning to the sanctuary, Marilyn. They look pretty healthy,esp. after the harsh winter. Mom anywhere about?

They are used to seeing me, so they are not spooked. Our bucks have dropped their antlers already. you can see the one buck drinking from the pail with the fawn, Notice his bumps on in his forehead. many of last years fawns are male as well.

Carly- i have not seen mom now for 2 months. i hope shes made it.

We lost Suzie last week Monday. She had been sick for a while and did not make it. That was a hard loss.

So sorry to hear that. The heartbreak of loving animals; death its part of life but never made easy. I still wouldn't be any different, its worth it.
