I know the shooter...he's a friend of mine from the business. He was coming home from work (jewelry show). He shot to defend himself and his property. He's older and is in bad shape mentally not only because of the threat against him but also because he nearly k**led his neighbor. Justifiable action...yes...unwanted consequence...definitely. I had been shot at in the commission of robbery twice in my career.

Don't you know it is against the law to commit robbery Rixie Dixie? Too bad they didn't catch you and lock you up.

While Rix and I don't agree on much of anything I think he's being misunderstood here. Rix was a jeweler for many years and I believe he's saying that he was the one being robbed.

The same way you get one buried in your bum, eh? Or don't you do that any more since the prolapse?

Rixie pixie, based on your current avatar I would have to say it is too bad they missed. Maybe the third time will be a charm.

Why is it that people must wish harm done to others? What possibly in your makeup causes this? Personality disorder? If I did that, I would think Karma would get me. Oh that's right, you guys just tell your invisible god and are forgiven for everything. That's the difference between christians and atheists, atheists aspire to a higher power, you guys are still in the gutter. You should be ashamed of yourselves and that kind of talk.

You should write a book, "Charm and Diplomacy for Dummies and other liberals."

"Standing armies consist of professional soldiers who owe their livelihood and income to the government. Unlike civilians who render periodic service in local m*****a, professional soldiers do not own property and therefore do not have any source of income other than the government’s military paymaster. Thus, they are more likely to serve the government’s interests, regardless of whether its leaders are dishonest and corrupt or not. In fact, standing armies may even promote rapacious foreign or domestic policies if such policies enrich the army. In contrast, arms bearing, property owning citizen m*****amen have a stake in the health of the republic as a whole and can be trusted to act in the republic’s best interests, whether those interests call for action in support of or against the political leadership of the nation."

I don't totally agree with this although it is a stimulating thought. In this country many of our service members have loved ones, property and value worth fighting to protect such as our son in law.
Bo Bergdahl could be a case in point that would support the above quote.
