Tamron 70200 f2.8 lens exif info not importing into lightroom

Just got this new lens for my sony a99. When I import photos taken with it into lightroom and check the exif info the entry under lens is blank, however it does show the focal length entry. Any thoughts on whether this is a Tamron, sony, or Lightroom problem and how it can be fixed? There is also no profie for this lens under lens correction. Thanks.

When I go into Lens Correction and choose Profile I check the box and then pick Tamron from the drop down list. After that it seems to automatically pick which Tamron lens I have used. Clear as mud?

I've found that not all lenses show up there. I think it would be up to LR to ad the profile.

I do the same thing with that lens and the Sigma 17-50 2.8. No big deal.
