Wanted to try out my new-to-me D700 so ...
... I spent the last couple of days taking snapshots here at home. I thought I'd share a few that I think turned out half way decent.
Please, keep in mind that I haven't really done any shooting in quite awhile, drink two pots of coffee a day, edit using Picasa 3 (have had LR4 for a year and have yet to use it) and all the shots are handheld.
I think I'm going to like this D700. I've got a D200 too so I've already got some gadgets that are compatible with the D700 which always helps.
These were all taken using both a Cosina Voightlander 58mm f1.4 and Micro-Nikkor 105mm f4, manual focus lens'. I hope that you like them and thanks for looking ....
Oh! I mixed a cell phone picture in with the rest. Can you tell which one it is? Also, can you find the ham or should I say hams?
Sinatra
Caterpillar
Gate stuff
Hmm ...
Hmmmmm!
Forest floor stuff
I just know there's a Dilla in there ...
I'll jump!!
Yeah ... right
He went this way
I've had enough of Dilla hunting ...
Lunch!

Great photos!!! If these are snapshots, can't wait for ones you think are 100% decent!
Thank you!
I'm working on getting my 100%, genuine macro shooting things together so I'll be seeing you over at the True Macro-Photography Forum, soon.

We welcome your eventual participation. In the meantime, read this intro thread, and the listed FAQs:

I've only used the D700 for a couple of hours so I'm not real familiar with it, yet.
I have noticed though that while looking through the viewfinder, I'm seeing a big, fat, huge, gigantic, annoying focus indicator or something right smack in the middle of the frame that is pretty annoying and makes focusing a little troublesome. Had I known it was there before my purchase, I might not have bought it. I need to read the manuals that I received with the camera to see if there is something that I can do to remedy the situation.
Hmmmm .... no guesses from anyone as to which is the cellphone pic? Maybe they all look like cellphone pics? lol!
Very nice shots, cameraniac! Love your dog!

Thank you for the compliments!
I'll tell Wilson what you said. He's nine months old and a real hand full. :-)
