Thanks to very nice weather this weekend I was finally able to get a shot of this Jay waiting for morning peanuts. The bird has been sitting up in this bush most mornings since last Fall. Some times, Sandra calls out "Blue Jay" and the jay flies into the bush about 10 feet from her and waits for the peanuts. She is hoping it will get closer and closer.
That's life in the boonies.

What a beautiful portrait, Pierre! Ours eat sunflower seeds and suet. I'll have to remember to try them on peanuts.

The Jays store peanuts in the shell all over the yard. They are really fun to watch.
