Cop shot Suspect Dead - By Mistake

At first, this might seem like another bad move by a cop, but was it? The shooter was a 73 year old insurance man/undercover deputy. While being arrested, the suspect started resisting and giving the arresting officer a hard time. The deputy reached for his Taser, but grabbed and fired his gun, instead. I can see myself doing the same thing, and I'm only 70. Maybe if the suspect wasn't making meth, and maybe if he didn't resist arrest, he would still be alive.

I don't see what the problem is with obeying a lawful order from a police officer.

He seemed to have a problem understanding the "no meth lab" law, so resisting arrest was probably a natural for him.

I support the police. So far in every incident recently the cop was right, but not this time. Unless the suspect shows a weapon the cop should never fire his. Mistaking a taser for his service weapon is a recruit kind of mistake. Not the kind of thing a trained officer should make

Working undercover at age 73 is a recipe for disaster.Anyone over age 65 should be never allowed in a front line Law Enforcement job.

The shooter was not an undercover cop. According to the first reports he was an auxiliary officer, specifically prohibited from conducting enforcement actions.

I agree completely that a suspect should do EXACTLY what the police officer tells him to do, and do it immediately.

However, we're k*****g far too many suspects, especially unarmed ones.

No other country even comes close to as many k*****gs by police.
