Hi, I'm Jeanne. I love photography and have been doing this for the past nine or ten years. I went to Africa on a photo safari April, 2010 and got some wonderful shots. I do hope to learn some neat ways to market and share this material. I also work with birds, flowers and people in my shots. I'm a retired Real Estate Broker and now get to enjoy two other passions. I am a published writer (women's fiction and children's books and an artist. I'm anxious to meet lots of you other photographers.

Jeanne,

Some favorite photos would enhance replies.

Say, something from Africa? ;-)

Post some photos soon,

Eric

Jeanne,

I like that photo a lot but next time climb into the lion enclosure and get the crusty stuff off of the inside corner of the right eye and clean and polish the teeth to a pearly white ;-).

Just Kidding!

My only suggestion would be to focus on the eyes, the nose and teeth are in the sharpest focus.

Eric

Yeah right! It's hard to focus when she's thinking of you as her next meal. Ha. She didn't want us near her little ones. Needless to say we left, that shot was on the run. In the jeep of course. Thx. for the critique Eric.

Actually that is a crop but I was only 8 to 9 feet away (at first that is) They all have such yucky teeth.

Jeanne,

Wow, I totally forgot you shot that on Safari in Africa, despite knowing it for my first post.

That is a fine shot, do you have any others to share, pretty please?

Only about 4500. What do you want to see?

Jeanne,

If I ever get to Africa these would be on my shot list:

An overall 'vast expanse' photo of the African Plain, a panorama would be best.

Something that screams AFRICA! Like elephants with Kilamanjaro in the background, so I know it wasn't taken in Appalachia.

Cityscape photo, and a city people photo.

Village or small town photo and small town or village people (pun intended) photo.

People you met, and liked on your trip, locals and/or other safari members.

Something very American (coke can?) in a very African (Boabab Tree?) environment.

Spectacular sunrise or sunset, I know you captured at least one.

Finally your favorite, 'this sums up my trip' photo.

I know that is quite a wish list but you do have 4500 photos to choose from.

Looking forward to your reply,

Eric

Wow, you had that ready! How long have you had that list? I'll work on it for you tomorrow. It's about 8PM in Fl and I've got to watch Dancing with the Stars. LOL

Yikes! You were close, or you had one of those 1000mm lens.

I think most P/P program have a teeth and eye whiting tool. If you can't get the cat to brush it's teeth first,
realy nice shot.

Ummm,

Jeanne,

About those photos from Africa? I am certain I'm not the only one that wants to see them.

Looking forward to them,
