Very nice shot. Would have been cool to see the actual download...anyhow, it might be an optical illusion, but it appears that the horizon line is slightly tilted 1/2 degree to the left. Once again, great shot.

As well you should. That photograph is incredible and shows off not only what the D810 but what you can do with it. Very nice and congratulations on a fine camera.

Great photo. Is that SOC or have you done some P/P?

The various colors are excellent and the sky is terrific. I'd like to be able to view this on the download option. Since you're fairly new, when you post a photo, just check the "store" box. It allows us to see a version of the photo with more resolution.

Excellent shot. I too would love to see the high resolution download. I am tinkering with the idea of a D750.
What lens did you use?

Ballangrud, thanks for putting the image up. It is spectacular in the download! It's like I am there! I'd say the 810 lives up to it's hype for scenic/landscape shots! Wow! May I ask which lens that you used? After fixing that minor tilt, that baby would be hanging on my wall somewhere!

Thanks sbucko:

I previously used a Nikon D90 and had DX glass. When I bought the D810 I also bought the Nikon FX 28-300mm lens...figuring that it would be a good all around carry lens, and that was what I used. I'll keep using this lens until I can afford a broader range of FX glass.

So much for people poo-pooing the 28-300 with the 800 line. This photo is spectacular in the download.
