Canon EOS 1D Mark II lenses

I picked up a Canon EOS 1D Mark II camera body for $200 at an estate sale. No lens. Money back guarantee. I am looking for a used lens to see if the camera works. I am a Nikon user and have no Canon lenses.
The crop factor for this camera is x1.3 so that puts the sensor size somewhere between full frame and Canon C (x1.6).
So will the EFs lenses work on this camera for do I have to go full frame?

No, the EFs won't work but the 200mm f1.8 was designed for that camera!!

Just so you know, the sensor in that camera is an APS-H. AS SS stated, EF-S lenses will not work on that body. You would need to use EF lenses.

A Canon EF 50 f/1.8 would be a $120 ish investment. Below is a link to a review from May 2004. You might visit a camera shop and give any EF lens they have in stock a test drive.

If all you want is to make sure it works, head down to your local camera store and try out some lenses. The price would be right.

I have a 1d mkii N. Almost the same. I love using it because of the autofocus and speed. My newest camera is an EOS 50d which works better in lower light. You must use ef lens not ef-s. Just be sure you have plenty of light. If I use it in a gym for volley ball or basket ball and use iso 1600 or 3200 it is really grainy. I use a tokina 100mm macro and it works very good. Works well with canon 70-200 EF 2.8L. I have a Sigma 24-60 f2.8, but it has to be stopped down to 4.0 or more to be sharp. I have a canon 28-80 f3.5-5.6 that is very good but it is an old lens. These cameras were the workhorse in their day and after shooting with 20d 40d and 50d it is fun to play with. Find a lens, some light and have fun. Good luck! Maybe one day will get a 1dx

Actually there was also a 1Ds which I also bought but will be passing it on. It's a little older full frame, but not quite as useful to me as the 1D mark II.
I am impressed with the size of the battery pack, big enough for a power drill.
Being a Nikon guy now I thought these might be fun to mess with. I started with Canon in the film world but when digital came along I switched horses.

EFs don't work. FF lenses only.
