I was in Walmart when they had a clearance sale on the D3100. I picked it up for $255 (US); the clerk offered me a 15% discount if I'd take the display model (it was under plexiglass and people couldn't get at it). The manager didn't like it, but approved the 15%. I walked out with it for about $220 (plus tax). It's the best $220 I spent recently!
