I recently purchased a C.F. Martin D45E Retro. It is beautiful. It was between the guitar and a Canon 5d Mark iii. I will still get a camera, but probably the Canon 6d, or see if Canon comes out with a 6d Mark ii..

Congratulations on the purchase of your Martin guitar. I have a Martin DH-28 that I purchased a year ago. Also have an OM-D E-M1. I hope to get up into the mountains this summer with both to take pictures and play the guitar...two of my passions.

As a Nikon person, I think you made the obvious choice! Lol. Really though, there's nothing like a Martin. Congratulations! It's a great to be multi-dimensional; to have many interests and hobbies like music and photography.
A buddy of mine (now retired and living in Australia) stopped at a pawnshop (as we all do on road trips!) and spied a sweet guitar he wanted...he fooled around with a few Jap electrics, some cheapos, a Fender or two and then asked about "regular" guitars (he acted like a newbie and didn't rip off any licks or ragpickin')...played a few cheapos and then....the Martin. A DF-28 Herringbone....the shop dude said, "That's a good un.....a Martien"
My buddy asked if he had a case...nope, but the shop dude could find a gig bag for ten bucks.
OK...how much?
The guy must have been a minimum wage employee because he sold that Martin for $225 with a bag!
Oh...it ids a vintage...30s or 40s....near mint!

Martin D-15M and a Martin LX-1 but my go to guitar is the Hummingbird!
Good choice, my Gibson J-50 was the first thing I bought with my first paycheck. My canon TL was my second purchase. I wore out the camera, but the J-50 just keeps getting better at almost 50 years old.
