Well someone told me they loved the B-25, so here's a few more pictures. Enjoy
That B-25 was one hell of a beautiful airplane...
I don't know why, but my all time WW11 favorite airplane is the Catalina , the PBY .... And the odd thing is, I have NEVER seen one in person.... Hopefully, someday I might just lucky....

For you
My dad worked on them
USCG Aircraft Repair & Supply Base, Elizabeth City, NC 1950
One of the more emotional experiences of my adult life was a ride on a B-24. My dad was a crew member on a B-24 in WWII and did 30 Missions over Europe during the winter. While the 24 is my favorite, all old war birds are fascinating to see in person and in photographs.
They have a restored on that flies out of Ft. Lauderdale. I was raised in So Florida and used to see them all the time in the 40s. They are great planes and boy could they stay in the air for a long time.

My very close friend Sonnie was a top gunner and engineer on the B-25. He was shot down over France and spent 19 months in a
Stalag.
Some of the B25s had a 37mm cannon in the nose and could take on a Japanese destroyer and sink them. One hell of an aircraft!
Thanks very much for the awesome photos of the B25. During WWll my late brother was an instructor for B25 pilots. When he was on cross country flights with his students he would fly by our house. There was a vacant lot next to the house and he would have the plane on edge when he went by not many feet off the ground. When he arrived back at his base he would write our mom and tell her she was at the kitchen sink peeling potatoes and ask whether they were white or red. He later was instructor for B17's.Thanks for the memories!
I had said in your last B-25 post that it was my favorite bomber. Dad spent 23 months on New Guney at a P-38 base. Guess I like twin tailed aircraft. More modern times, give me a B-52 and and we can turn any sandpile to glass !
Any WWII plane with a propeller is my favorite, however, the PBY is my love. I, too, have never seen one in person. We are off to a granddaughters graduation this June at Hill AFB in Utah and I'm praying they have one. Saw a P-39 at March AFB but was unable to touch it. Oh well, some day.....skip
BobJ, I thank you very much... They are now downloaded
