Oh Judy! This is stunning! The light is spectacular ... love how you captured the colours in the sky. Wonderfully composed ... love those tack sharp foreground dunes .. the mountains are place perfectly to lead the viewer's eye through the image over and over. It's a good thing I couldn't go with you .. I would have defected to iceland! Oh .. this is gorgeous!!

This is simply gorgeous. It must be viewed on download to be truly appreciated. I think what's "magical" about it is the lighting. The soft pinks in the sky are lovely also. I agree with the others about possibly lightening the foreground a little, which is something you'll probably have to play with.

Yes ... I'd have to see that .. but I love the dark foreground as it is probably dark .. I believe it depicts Iceland very well .. or am I wrong, Judy?

Thank you Sandra. There are a lot of reasons to defect to Iceland. In the winter the light is always good, as long as the sun is up. The weather is much warmer than Minnesota. The views along the south coast are gorgeous (I can't speak to the other sides.) The people are wonderful and most speak English. As a rule it is a peaceful and law abiding country. And the have very cute sheep and horses.

Thank Frank. When I first got home I was disappointed in my Vestrahorn photos, but I started playing with this one and some others and I decided that while I did not get the spectacular reflection shots that some of the others in the group got, I like some of the ones that I did get so it wasn't a wash.

Thank you for the critique. I will look at the original again and see if it looks dark because it is or UHH has muddied the water again.
