These are the best pics I took. Sorry. I know the Eared Grebe is not indigenous to my area BUT.... I have seen other birds that weren't either.

The shorter, thicker bill leads me to believe this is a Horned Grebe, Stephie. There is still a little white on it indicating it's just coming out of winter plumage. At this time of year the "horns' haven't thickened yet but that will come.
Thanks for the input - i was thinking 1st it was an Eared but I also read that if the bill has a white tip, it's definitely a Horned.
Just wanted to see what others thought. ;)
