Yesterday we spent the day in Manhattan at a police promotion ceremony. I am honored to announce that my son Jason was promoted to Sergeant in the NYPD!! We are so proud of him!!

Congratulations on the honor for your son. He has a lovely looking family. I know this has taken a lot of hard work on his part.

I have a nephew, "on the job," and another that retired, and his father...all NYPD. A very tough job.

Thanks Indi, for your very kind words and 3 thumbs up!! It is a tough job and starting Monday he starts his new post in Jamaica. Kudos to your nephew who's a brother in blue!!!
My grandson is a cutie, starting the Monday after Easter I will be watching him 3 days a week while his mommy goes back to work... :(

The other nephew I mentioned (retired) worked in a precinct in Jamaica before he transferred to Manhattan. (South-East-North-West????) I think he was in Narcotics.
Baby sitting...we do that 1-2 days a week. Got a new one coming in June, #2, but way in NJ. We'll have to sleep over to babysit. :lol:

Congrats on G-Baby #2!!! The only bad part about watching him, is that I have to be there by 7am, which means I need to get up by 4:30 so I can take care of my animals and be out of the house by 6:15!! They live in Northport, so I'll be in rush hour traffic, going and coming home!!!
I know I will enjoy this as I'm sure you do!!!
