For Sale - Canon extender EF 2x series III

SOLD.
Forgot to list this when I listed the 70-200 lens. I think I paid around $450 for this from B&H about a year ago. I've never used it, it's basically a new extender. This only fits the 'L' series white lens. It will not work on the black lenses.

Actually, the uses for the 2x are more limited than simply any white L lens if you want to retain autofocus. Check the product manual at Canon USA. I believe AF will be limited to an L lens with a native f/4 aperture or wider as well as a 1D, 7DII or 5DIII body. The f/2.8L lenses (white & black) as well as the 135 f/2L meet this requirement for continued AF with (I believe) all Digital EOS bodies. I'd have to check the manual myself to be 100% ....

Also works on the 5D MKII. If I didn't already have one I'd buy it in a flash. That's a very good price!

Yes, I tried it on both my Mk II and MK III when I was testing it with the 70-200 f/2.8 L. Worked fine on both cameras.

I've used it with black lenses (L) as well and it worked fine!
I don't think it ever was that high at B&H, the highest was $399 new (at least as I can remember, but maybe they went up).

Yes, the series III was $$25 + S&H and insurance. Came to about $450.
The extender by itself is now $449.

Yes the price was higher. I paid $495 each for the 1.4 and the 2x when they first came out. Your price is a very good one.

That very extender works quite well on the BLACK EF 180mm Macro lens.
