Lightroom User Forum

I am moving to Lightroom organizing and enhancing with a PSE interface for pixel editing. I was searching our member forum here and there is much info re: Lightroom. I could not locate what I will call a dedicated User Group forum within HedgeHog that allows Lightroom users to share tips, tricks, how-to's and more.

1. Does anyone recall if this was created
2. Is that something members would like within HedgeHog

I am somewhat new to HedgeHog and not sure if that is something I set up or the Admin leaders create. I did set up a forum on my own server for a local group, but they do not have the energy I find from HedgeHog members.

Thanks

We have a Post-Processing section.

I prefer having fewer sections, rather than more. It makes it easier to find information.

I agree, Jerry.
It's good to have different sections to break up the enormous amount of information.
But, at some point it becomes unwieldly and the sections create more problems than they solve.

Anything you post in the Post Processing section with the word "Lightroom" in the title will normally get quick answers.

Adobe themselves offers space for two active user based forums where you can browse for interesting topics.

We now have 26 sections. There's no way I would go through all of them every day, so I'm sure I miss a lot. Going through Main, I come across all sorts of interesting topics and information.

that's the nice thing about having different sections, you can look at just the ones you know you're interested in :-)

I typically only look at just a few ever lol :-)

Thank you for the feedback. As someone starting out with Lr5, I would have enjoyed a Lightroom section so I can quickly and efficiently engage in sharing and learning from those with the same interest for that software. However, 1) the links posted above provide plenty of reading and learning material, 2) for members new to Lr, they (and I) can post specific topics on the main discussion area and 3) as always, there is Mr. Google.

PS: ordered Lr5 today and the Adobe sales reps still do not know when Lr6 will be released.

If you want to get up and running fast, with full understanding and minimum delay, buy a month's time on Lynda.com and take this course: http://www.lynda.com/Lightroom-tutorials/Up-Running-Lightroom-5/124068-2.html

If you want to go further, there are two more series at lynda.com. One is by Chris Orwig and the other by Tim Grey.

Of course, the free tutorials from Julieanne Kost are good too. Here: http://tv.adobe.com/show/getting-started-with-adobe-photoshop-lightroom-5/ And more here: http://www.jkost.com/lightroom.html

lynda.com is great. If you're a newcomer, you can get a month for free. I sign up for the $25 month every so often and do a lot of watching.
