Here are some photos just north of Kernville, CA. These are photos when I only shot auto. I guess you can say I didn"t know there was a Manual mode on the camera. Hi! Ha! They were taken with a Canon Power Shot SX20 IS. Then I took a photography class and we learn how to shot manual. I though the pictures were good that I had take on auto, but manual wow! Then I found I could only go up to f8 and it wasn't giving me the depth of field I wanted. Plus the SX20 has only 12.1 mega pixels. So I shopped and purchased a Canon T2i with 18 mega pixels. Wow!! What a world of difference. So let me share some of my photos that I've taken with my SX20 set on auto. Please critige, but I'm now shooting manual with a Canon T2i. Thank you! Oldhiker

Not bad. The areas water table must be down though as the trees and vegitation look like they are in need of more water.
Nice. I haven't been up there for years. We used to camp and raft down the river all the time.
It looks like a beautiful area, but . . .
"I'll never swim Kern River again".
