Got away from much of my light pollution...

Sorry, still shooting star trails...
Saturday I ventured up the canyon to a spot I wanted to try.
I'd gone up in the daylight a week before scouting. This time I was loaded for bear.
Beautiful scenery around me. Some distant coyotes, and some resident dogs down in the canyon, a hooting owl asking what we were doing in his neighborhood, and a few mice rattling the brush as they scurried around...
No phone service, spotty radio reception, just me and the dog and the steady timed releases of the camera as we recorded the stars....
And we got dooed on.
"What are you talkin about?" the wife demanded.
"We got wet from the dew. We got dewed on." I told her.
"You're so weird." She laughed.
Why yes... yes I am. :)
Great job, Sonny!
I'm looking forward to heading out there with you next time.
Figures, it was clearer here than Walker Pass
8-)
I love have you have both sides of the ecliptic in the first one!

Thanks, GT!
Sorry to hear Walker Pass washed for you. :(
All my gear got really wet from the dew. Fog the next morning.
Now, I've built a lens heater. ;) Works good too. Used it last night.
Went and explored another spot on the way down. But I think the upper end is the best up there so far. I've still got some tricks up my sleeve though. ;)

Nice shooting Sonny, I too like the ecliptic. We are going to have clear skies until the weekend.

Hey!
I thought the desert was supposed to be clearer than the coast!

Oh no, never a problem for me, GT.
To me a thread should be open and allowed to flow.
Like conversation. ;) Just folks sharing, friendly. :-D
Sorry if I'm pre-occupied... Still studying and looking.
Do you do any Birds In Flight Photography?
Falconry could be such a great opportunity.
Thanks, Sonny.
I do a little BIF, but I plan on doing lots of shooting on Thursday! :-)
I also like IIF :D
