Dewman Loc: SW Idaho

A very sharp, auto-aperture, 0.25x magnification close-focus lens. Known for it's sharpness, quality build and color saturation. Lens is in very good condition, with no blemishes of any kind on the glass, front or back. The barrel has two very minuscule dings that are difficult to see. The focus ring is very smooth and tight, with very minor lens creep. Comes with a skylight filter and both factory lens caps.

I have seen these available and happen to know that this price is more than Fair, especially given its' condition. I have amassed a large number of Pentax lenses, I think that pentax glass is my main reason for using the pentax camera systems. The price/quality ratio, is second to none,my opinion I know. even pentax kit-lenses are better than most company's KIT lenses. RJM

Yes sir, I thought the price was more than fair. I have two of these lenses and I was amazed at it's sharpness. I value sharpness more than any other attribute a lens has, and this one is astonishing for a zoom lens, especially in close-focus mode. And, as with most all Pentax lenses, the build is superb! Butter-smooth focus throw with good heft and feel.... all metal and glass.

I have two sets of the kit lenses, the 18-55mm/50-200mm variety, one set is the DA-L and the other is the DA-L WR and in my opinion, the WR version is much better when it comes to sharpness. My opinion was verified by a friend who has the same two lenses. According to the data, they're optically identical.... but.... the proof is in the pudding! The 50-200mm lens is one that is sadly often overlooked. It's a fine lens, indeed!
