Incandescent light filament, probably toned down with a rheostat or something, or just a very fast exposure to reveal the detail.

My mom doesn't like the new florescent bulbs. I guess they take too long to get bright, so she bought a bunch of regular bulbs a while back back in advance of the no-more-incandescent-bulbs-allowed-for-sale days. Anyone else feel that way?

Maybe the fluorescents will get better with time. They do last a lot longer on my outdoor lights. Years instead of a few months.

This is a 40W light bulb filament in the O N mode.

You bet. You pay five or six bucks for one and how long will it take before you gert your money back from your light bill??
I have quite a few cartons of 60s and 75 watt bulbs and you can have the curly ques.
