Was shooting a very small historic church this morning. Cloudy, dark out and very dark inside. After my eyes adjusted to the dim light, I looked and about fell over the ceiling was so beautiful....

3 shots in Photomatix with longest exposure 30 seconds. Wonderful detail!

Not sure why, but the download, at least on my laptop, is the correct color while the thumbnail seems very yellow...

Yep, in Asheville where there are so many historic churches! Here's a couple more of this 125 year old church...

You are right, the colors in the download are much richer. A must for viewing this one. This is a beautiful church.

Beautiful church and just the perfect angle for the ceiling. I watched a special last night on Rosslyn Chapel in the Lothians of Scotland, and marveled at the intricate details of the stonemasons and carvers. Old Churches are a history of the artists of their times. Ironically, the book The Da Vinci code written by an American author, literally saved Rosslyn Chapel from going to ruin as the chapel was a key element of the novel. Tourists by the millions have been going to see Rosslyn Chapel since the book and movie came out, and with the money they've been able to restore it. The Powers that Be move in strange ways.
