Just after a rain at San Onofre State Beach in California at dawn, I was attracted to the reflections in this mud puddle. Please download this one.

Even mud puddles can give you great reflections. You captured these beautifully.

Thanks Andrea for your "You captured these beautifully" comment. You are also right about mud puddles........don't discount them because they are what they are! The "dawn" colors helps this photo too!

Like the reflections and the colors. Sunrise by itself is kind of Ho-hum; but this is an interesting composition.

Ok, whew! Thanks Photolady. Sometimes people say words like "interesting" or "very different" and they are trying not to offend the photographer but behind the words is something else entirely.

Thanks ebrunner for your analysis of the photo. I agree that the sunrise is kind of ho-hum, but without that sunset the photo would be useless. It really needs that color even if it is ho-hum.
Thanks for saying it's an interesting composition.

Thanks for taking an in depth view of this image Doddy. No one has mentioned this but in my opinion I consider this image almost abstract with the high contrast shapes going on with it.
