Poem For a Landscape

We will go out against the sun
Where the rolling scarp retires
And the Long Man of Wilmington
Looks naked to the shires
Where little, lost down churches praise the Lord of hills and sky's
And close-bit thyme perfumes the days like Dawn in paradise

Very impressive, both poem and landscape, Geoff. Original poem? Regardless, you've done a great job with both here. Beautiful work.

Sadly not Tp, A few of years ago I bought a old book about Sussex and the South Downs, it was printed in 1926, and on the inside front cover was the poem, beautifully hand written and dedicated to a lady called Mary, and writen by WM, it was dated August 1932. I have tried to trace its origins but with no success so can only assume it was written by WM?
I have always loved it, and it runs around my head
when Im walking on the Downs, it really sums up the emotions the Downs stir in me.
Thanks very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it,

Geoff
