I use the Kenko pro 1.4 tc 300 with a AF_S nikkor 55-200 and a AS_F nikkor 70-300 and so far have had no problems and have been please with the results.

No problem with the lens, either my 100-400L or the 100L macro works fine on my T3i's with it, just the 7d mark ii that doesn't like the converter with any lens combo. Glad yours works, what camera are you using with it?

I've successfully used the 1.4x on my 70-200 2.8L II and my 500 F4L with little to no image degrading. Teleconverters are very lens specific. I know many people use third party with their own levels of success. IMO it's a crap shoot once you begin to introduce third party.

Yeah, the Kenko got good ratings for most combinations, wish it would play nice with mine. Just trying to get a few more yards of reach for BIFs, seems the eagles like to keep their distance.

I'm using a Canon 1.4x with a Canon 70-200 2.8L II and a Canon 500F4. v1 To be perfectly honest, it takes a little more time with most shots because autofocus isn't as quick when used without the extender
