Had a few minuets to try out my new monopod, so I ran down the road and found a Red Shouldered Hawk and some wild rudbeckia to try it on. This was my first time using a monopod and really liked the feel, and solidness, and am happy with the results, kept the camera and lens nice and steady for sharp images. Please try the download

These are terrific shots, nice and sharp. I am considering a monopod to go with my Tamron 150-600 that is arriving today. I am glad to hear that you like the feel and steadiness of it.

These are excellent images, gregory! Looks like this will be a great tool.

Question...how heavy is the monopod? Is it lighter than a standard tripod? I like that it has 'feet', yet takes up less room than a tripod.

That looks like a good compromise between most monopods and a tripod, easier to carry but very steady.

Really good results, Gregory. I have used steadying hardware for a number of years now. At my age, the support provided to the equipment is only half the benefits...the other half is as support for me! The monopod doubles as a cane when shooting outdoors as you do so much. A wise investment in my opinion.

Thanks so much Elliern, so glad you enjoyed. The monopod is about 3 lbs, plus the weight of your camera and lens, the feet are great they fold up or lock down and great and if I remove the camera, the monopod stays straight up

Thanks so much Bob, always appreciate your looking and kind comment, so glad you enjoyed. Great minds think alike, I twisted my knee and use the monopod as a cane, also, helps so much out in the field
