Hello.

What don't you know how to do that you want to do?

The answer to that will help those who want to help you.

Say something like.

"..I have lightroom 3 and I don't know how to import photos"

OR

"..I have LR 3 and I want to increase the exposure level but I'm not sure how..."

That's much easier to answer.

Isn't to know how to adjust photos, white balance I think is shadows slider Scott kelby book is more for Mac users. I have my photo,s I know how to export them, but I do not know how to edit photos, I have experimented but I think there must be a better way. I prefer to write down instructions of how to.

That's what I do, and then I can go back and look at my notes when I need them.

It seems like you don't have a clue how to start so I'd so this...

I'd search this in youtube and watch a few videos on how to edit photos in lightroom.

If you can't articulate what you want to correct in your photo, then you are going to have a hard time correcting anything.

Search "Lightroom photo editing" and I'm sure you'll get some useful stuff.

I get very excited when I see adobe short tutorials but I have to play them several times to write the instructions down, probably I am impatient it is not working quick enough.

Pick something you think would be useful to you and look for tutorials on that. If you work on one technique at a time and then practice that over and over, it will become second nature. Trying to "learn Lightroom" will get you nowhere but confused and frustrated. The Adobe site has good tutorials. Some that you will find on youtube are awful.

Thanks Jerry, I appreciate that, as long as I can find the answers to each question I have as I go along this course, I just got so frustrated athe way Scott Kelby wrote his book, I am a PC user.

Just Bookmark the videos - make a folder for lightroom tutorials and then bookmark them into that folder - you can then be in lightroom and also have the video open (do a split screen and you can go back and forth as needed)
