Not the best of shots, but I thought funny ones.

These made me laugh. Especially #3. He is really objecting to having his picture made.....or maybe you didn't fill his feeder?

Thanks Erv. I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood today and there he was. I enjoyed watching him.

Happy to hear you enjoyed them Nikon13, makes me happy that you did!
My feeder was well-stocked, maybe he should get out and investigate more of the neighborhood. I'm less than a block from where I found him.
:-)
These are great and so funny. Animals are amazing!
Your shots are just fine. These are very good photos for they do tell a story.

PS. That posted twice! Sorry, don't know how that happened.
I never understood the title of the book To Kill a Mockingbird until I moved to the south. We have, at times, had loud Mockingbirds start singing in trees close by starting at 5 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. After several months of this beautiful song, waking you up at 5 a.m., you are ready To Kill A Mockingbird!!

That's funny.
The Mockingbird is the FL state bird.
I love to hear them sing.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment Steve, which made me smile.

The title was very subtle. It meant that the father really wanted to dog slap his little girl. The trial had nothing to do with it.
You see, even back then in the deep south children were, as they are today; Totally disrespectful to their parents. Their mother wasn't dead. They were divorced. Since the mother showed no respect toward her husband during the marriage, why should the kids show any?
This is why that darling little girl keeps calling her father, Adikus by his first name. He hated it. And, just like today, the mother actually encouraged this behavior from that little twerp. No respect. It is sad really because the term "Daddy" had its' roots in the deep south. To add insult to injury, The divorce was a result of her infidelity. She got the mansion, alimony and child support. He got to see the kids during the summer.
Since, at the time the book was written, a novel about divorce was considered taboo. The story being about a trial was just a cover for that subject.
And so it was titled, "to kill a Mockingbird". Adikus knew that his daughter was mocking him the whole time. This is what he metaphorically wanted to do to her.
The title has nothing to do with the song of an annoying bird.
