Moon Shot - I Can't Win for Loosing! Foiled Again!

Well I played around photographing Jupiter for the first time and I got to bed really late or early (3:45 am) today... and then I got up late (7:45 am) and looked outside to see the Moon... it was relatively clear but daylight was breaking! I hurried and got dressed and grabbed my camera gear and went outside and set it up my camera rig... turned on my camera and it said "No Card in Camera"! I had forgot that I had left the chip in the computer when I was working on Jupiter much earlier in the day/night! Well I ran back inside, I really just walked fast, and got the memory card from my computer, I wish I had memory card in my head, and put the card back in the camera, reposition the Moon back in LCD screen and focused, it was getting light now, and I started taking pictures... long story shortened, I only got one Moon shot that was half-way decent because of the light and morning mist!

If you read all of this you are one patient individual!

Bruce, All in all a good job. I saw the same thing only we were partly cloudy. Perhaps in April with the full moon rising around sunset. Gary

I am looking for the full moon to rise over our downtown area 4-4-15. It should have nice color as the sun set is about 20 mins different. I will post and let you know. Gary

Thanks Marc... now I just put a spare card in the camera as soon as I take one out to download shots into my computer...I have several large cards and just didn't think about it before... I just switch them out so I won't forget and have an empty memory card slot...now I will always have a card loaded in the camera no matter what... :)

When that kinda stuff happens to me I call it a GOOD day! Dang, you remembered that the camera needs a mem card, you're way ahead of me!
Nice shot, and I hope your good luck continues.

All things considered, pretty good shot Bruce. Couldn't help but chuckle at your story. Been there done that...more than once I'm embarrassed to admit. Gotta have a sense of humor...I keep telling myself. Almost like reading glasses...gotta keep them in more than one place
