Window shots - what you think

I know if I could have centered better it would have been better but I had to shoot on any angle to get the inside light and area. I did some minor image rotation to try to square it off but this was about the best I could get. I like the shots but (they both the same, one just BW) something seems wrong.

Data
D750
28-300MM at 170MM
f5.6
1/30 sec
ISO-6400 (very early in the AM, sun not up yet)

pjhinde,
I like the black and white image, especially the download version

I like the color shot better. You can see the light inside better and the shutters are really nice in red. I would not have cropped so tight that you are missing the very top and bottom of the window. Angle does not bother me much. I would prefer to see this as a straight on shot; but your explanation illuminates your reasoning for shooting it the way you did. Nice work.

Thank you, as for the cropping that was a tough decision as I was doing it as the top part of the window is one of the half moon windows. I think I might have been wanting a level shot too much in that regard and when I left that half moon window in, to me it just did not look right. I might take another look at it and rethink it. Again thanks.

I like the color shot most. There is something about the intensity of the red adds a certain richness and interest.

I tend to agree, that is what caught my eye of the inside in the first place. Thanks for your time and comment!

I love the color shot, pjhinde! Windows and doors are some of my favorite things to shoot!

I agree and thanks for your comments, I too enjoy windows or doors but I bit older for me, the old time setting inside was what attracted me.
