The clouds this AM provided some interesting colors on the Moon as sunrise. I did enhance the colors no doubt.

No doubt.
But as many of the PP crowd say, "It's what you saw..."
With your permission, I could share what I saw yesterday morning while capturing my Humming birds in the morning sun.
Moon shot, that is. Half moon in the blue sky.
It made me think of Erv's blue sky moon.

Sure share away! Thanks for your time.

Very interesting PJ.

I think the colors came from the sun being defused behind clouds as well as the very thin layer of clouds around the moon itself.

Thanks, PJ.
I don't consider my pictures to be Photographs. But I'm trying.
(Sometimes, some folks think I'm more trying than others...)
Only changes was to do an Auto Correct in Adobe Elements 12
for Brightness.
I felt the sky was washed out.

I think the dawn and dusk moon shots are the most interesting. I would have cropped those more, but I can say that the full sky shots are interesting also. Here is one I took this AM that is similar to your style as I did like the sky. The colors in this one were not enhanced at all, and you can see the moon colors that came out on the one I originally posted. I think this is the same shot just cropped differently.

As for your comment about pics versus photographs, well if your having fun and you like the shots than keep on doing it. Photography is very subjective, it is in the eyes of the beholder. I have learned a lot of technical information from this web site and there are times I post something that I did not set up "technically" correct but I just liked the shot and making it technically correct took away what I liked.

Yep. Subjective.
And the light is constantly changing.
I see so many variations on Moon shots here. I have never looked up at the Moon and seen it as dark as so many post, trying to show the detail.
We are all different, and our photographs will always be different.
Not righter or wronger, just different.
Looking up and seeing the moon against the blue sky was really nice.
If we had anything in the atmosphere here to color it I missed it.
But my reason to be out there was to shoot the Humming Birds in the gathering dawn. When the light hits them at the sunrise, they flash beautifully.
Thanks for letting me post pictures, PJ. :-D

It's different. I think saturating the colors was a good idea. It does not look especially realistic; but it is quite appealing.

I agree on all accounts, this was just one of those "cool" shots. :) Thanks for your time and comment.
