Nice, but I'm not impressed by sample images. They always look good.

Nice! Great images. Thanks. I want one. Maybe two, one of each!

I was just reading a post yesterday on the hog, that if you get the 5DS R, the filter will be able to be turned off so it will behave like the 5DS. It's the more expensive one with a $200 premium. I think that would be the way to go though, after dishing out that much, what's another $200!

It sure appears that Canon has raised the bar once again. It will be interesting to see how long it holds it's release price point. A couple months back there was a rumor that Sony was manufacturing the sensor to the 5Ds but I think that has turned out to not be true.

Oops! Just read now here on another thread that the camera filtering system is not switchable.

I guess that makes sense if you think about it. They would not have two different models at two different price points if it was switchable. Still, I want one.

The expense will be more than just the camera. Most any home PC will have to be either upgraded or replaced to handle the file size it will produce.

I agree.Sample photos are always great. The question is how well it works in real life situations. Also things like additional costs like do you also need to upgrade lens.

So what should they do? When they are testing new photo equipment they should take and publish sample photos that are not so great? Why not publish the best photos? Why publish something mediocre? What would that accomplish?

I agree but you don't solely judge by sample shots.

You are absolutely right. I just do not understand why some fault seeing the best a camera can do. It seems to me that would be an inspiration for a budding or an experienced photographer. But we all know that to a large degree it is not the camera making the photo exceptional.
