Went out for a walk in my neighborhood today. 64 degrees in March.

2 of about 15 turkeys

Thanks for sharing these. I saw a NG show that warned bison were very dangerous, at least when people mess with them. A woman was trying to photograph one when a man tossed a stick at it to make it raise its head. The bison, infuriated, lashed out at the first human target he could find, namely the woman taking the picture. He gored her badly, tossing her high into the air.

I crept entirely too close to one of the them in Oklahoma, but it never raised its head, and being bent over eating is not a very dignified pose. I am glad no one hit it with a projectile.

Doesn't matter what the animal is, as soon as it's aware that you're there, you're in danger. I see people doing stupid things all the time in Yosemite. The worst was when a dad and his young kid followed a bear into the woods for a better camera angle.

There was a guy in Alaska who made friends with the giant brown bears. One day one of them that was too infirm otherwise to feed himself made a meal of the man.

Neat turkey shot - I'm surprised you could get that close - the wild turkey is one of the smartest birds that there is, and not easily fooled or gotten close to except in captivity. I would imagine that the buffalo is a lot like a bull in a pasture with cows - very territorial and possessive of his women! This one has already spotted you from the look in his eye!
