great looking lens, but here in michigan you walk into a pro sporting event, they tell you to put it in your truck, l series lens not allowed without a press card..

I don't know why they do those things, but I know that you cannot take a large camera with a removable lens into the pro rodeo events as well here in AZ.

I took my camera with my 55-300 lens to a Cav's game & was told the lens had to be taken off & taken back to the car or I wouldn't be allowed in to see the game. They even had some type of measuring tool & said lens can't be larger than this.I thought that was insane but they didn't care what I thought!

Off subject a bit but I believe Nikon has announced a ps camera with a 2000mm equivalent and Canon has a ps with a very long reach greater than a 400mm. Show those jerks up by going with one of those and get the close-ups they want you to not be able to get.

Back on topic, I own the very same 100-400mm lens. I love it. Many people complain about the push-zoom, but I don't find it a problem at all; in fact, I rather like it. It's a great lens, especially for this kind of money. Of course, it would be nice to see a front view that displays the big crack in the front element. :P

(No, I'm not in league with the seller.)

I have been using this lens for 6 years I prefer the push-pull when shooting wildlife.
When a eagle jumps out of a tree it is much easier for me to pan and push or pull while it is cradled in the palm of my hand rather than twist and wind up with my elbow at some ridiculous angle.
I use a L series 1.4 TC most of the time the 140-560mm is great for wildlife and it is not so big and heavy that it is easy to carry if you are not going on a all day hike.
This is a very versatile lens with great IQ.
With my 1D camera it will still auto focus with the TC.
Good luck with your selling this one someone should jump on this one.
