The F-1 season is upon us again.
I'd like to actually SEE the road - NOT just the front 1/2 of the car and a bit of pavement. And, it looks like a practice lap, not during the actual race.
First part of next week I am getting a new GPS for my Motorcycle and also a Garmin Virb Elite to pair with it for a trip I have planned. It is the same camera used in this video which shows the speed etc on the screen during the video.
Been round this track in a normal car a couple of days after the race before they removed the armco barriers. What the video does not show is how steep the rise is up to the casino and how steep the descent is down to the tunnel. How these guys do it never fails to amaze me. Saying that Monaco is an awful place, the traffic is horrendous mainly Ferraris,Lamborghini's etc. laughably all doing around 10mph.
Slowest but most exciting. First race of the season is in Australia this coming weekend. Formula 1 is the epitome of racing as far as I am concerned. :-D

Look up the Isle of Mann Motorcycle races on UTube.....Fastest Motorcycle race in the world. On average they lose two riders a year it is so intense.

'Lose?' Like in KILLED?
Yes....race speeds exceed 200 MPH on city streets on the Isle of Man. I'm told that each intersection is marked and noted for how many crashes have happened at that location (both fatal and non-fatal)

Yeah I have seen some of those (on TV) but bikes are not for me. I prefer four on the ground.
