I am on vacation in east Texas (Victoria) and have come across a couple birds that I can't identify. Can anyone help me?

1. The black and white bird that resembles a turkey - sort of.
2. The 'gulls' on the left in #2. Not the pink ones...they are black & white.

Guineas in the first one. I can't make out the ones in the second. Not big enough.

Those birds on the left in pic 2 are way too tiny and far away to get a decent look at them. Do you have a better picture? Also click Store Original when posting.

I think the black & white birds in the second picture are black-necked stilts although it's hard to tell from the small picture.

You are probably right. I wish we could see the legs.

Picture#1 birds are Helmeted Guineafowl. They're probably escapees from someone's yard. They are native to Africa.
Picture#2 the birds on the left are Black Necked Stilts. The birds on the right are Roseate Spoonbills.
Picture#3 birds are mature Laughing Gulls.

normally that is true I have the national Geographic app and use whatbird.com. The thing is none of them list the guinea hen. After finding out what they are I googled them and it looks like they are probably considered domestic birds - not wild ones - although there were six of them just wandering around the park across from the court house.
And take a look at this picture of the black & white gulls they have red legs and the wings look more black than grey like the sabine gull. It is not very big, but this one is a little clearer.

It would be a pretty rare thing to find a Sabine's gull in Texas. The birds pictured aren't gulls at all. They are Black-necked Stilts. Here's a shot I took this weekend at Eco Pond in the Everglades. Hope that helps
