Eagle at Vasona Park in Los gatos CA

On our walk this afternoon at Vasona Park in Los Gatos CA. It's not unusual to see red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks, but this juvenile bald eagle was quite a treat. They are twice the size, and he (or she) made quite an impression on us - and on the 50 0r 60 Canada Geese browsing on the lawn, which all suddenly decided to head for a swim in the lake.
There have been several other reports of Bald Eagles at Vasona, but this is our first.

Great catch! Front the feather color pattern and the amount of yellow on the beak, this appears to be a bird about 2 1/2 to 3 years old.
