Those are great shots Terri. ;)

I looked out last night to full feeders at dusk. I have them here the year round, but especially heavy during spring and summer.
The warmer it is, the thirstier they seem to be.

Superb job. What kind of shutter speeds? I'm guessing 1/2000 or faster. Beautiful captures.

Thank you SonnyE! That is when most of my hummers come to the feeders also. It would be nice if they came when there was better light. Terri

Terri, the third one is very special, even though all are good. The full tail-feather fan-out is beautiful, which is one rare capture. Very nicely done!

Thank you Mr PC! In the first and second picture the shutter speed was 1/3200. In the third it was 1/2500. I been practicing stopping motion. These little guys are very good practice. I've tried using a flash but don't like the way they turn out. All are handheld. Terri

Thank you Lukan! I have been trying to get a picture with the tail fanned out for awhile. They have always been somewhat blurry. I decided to use my canon macro 100mm L lens on these shots. I was happy with how sharp they came out and the colors. Lucky for me my hummers don't care if I'm close to them. Terri
