Is there any alternative for a wide-angle lens for a Sony a6000 other than the Sigma 10-20mm for which you must have an adaptor? The lens is an A-mount, thus requiring a A-mount to E-mount adaptor (for around $200) Does anyone know of another wide-angle that is compatible with this camera?

How about Sony's 10-18mm lens. All the reviews of this are great. Also check out the Sigma "Art" series lenses, at $200 each. There is a lot out there for e-mount now, and you do not need an adapter.
The Samyang/Rokinon 8 mm lens is a great lens. I have one and love it. I am not sure if you can find a version that fits directly on this camera or if you would need to buy a Canon or Sony version and adapter.
The Sigma E mount 19mm f/2.8 is an excellent lens doesn't have OSS though.

There is the Zeiss Touit 2.8/12mm e-mount. Superb optics. Cost more than the camera, though. Bought mine used.
Thanks to all....I couldn't find a wide-angle (in my price range) that fits without an adaptor, but I am still considering the Sigma with the adaptor. It is still cheaper than the Zeiss or Sony lenses. I got a Rokinon 8mm fisheye to play around with and will do more research on the wide-angle.

Check B&H online for the Sigma or Rockinon lenses, as well as the Sony (10-18). The A6000 is a compact, powerful camera, and settling for an adapter lens when you do not have to seems short sighted.
