Just old buttons on the way out. Thought I could make use of them first.

Very good. Love the setup and the colors. Nicely done.

Nice-different-interesting.
Thank you both so much. This is what I do on rainy days---try to compose something with stuff laying around!! :)

Some of those look pretty interesting. I would do a micro on the green one. It looks different from the rest. Everyone on this site is awesome and I can not believe the things you all find to shoot. Simple things become art.

Guess I better keep those buttons around! ha
I've always thought, It is how a person sees something----some don't see what another does. Still life is one of my favorites. I will dig up that green one and see what I can do.

Wasn't thinking along photography lines this day and photo quality is poor, but there are not many opportunities to post button pics. LOL These are from me, my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. They are kept in an old glass minnow trap that belonged to my grandfather. Fun to play with on a rainy day.
Button, Button, who's got the Button?
cool Judy---Thanks for sharing. I am going to work with mine another rainy day. I'm sure I can think of something! How many do you think are there? Another rainy day project!! :)

I know something that will keep you busy! My Mom use to put them on frames and hand them on the walls. To bad I didn't take any pictures. :-D

I don't know when that was--- but seems like Grandparents long ago would have done something like that. My grandmother wadded up tinfoil from gum wrappers etc. and string them into a garland for her Christmas tree. Too time consuming for me!!

take them to the antique store, they will pay you for them especially if you have some fancy ones
Nice pic.
Looks just a bit dark, to me. I only see 2 buttons that are bright white. How about a righter background, too? Perhaps a medium to dark gray?
