Great shots. They really are a beautiful bird. I'm working on getting a decent shot of one of these but so far their too far away. My 400mm is still not enough. One day I'll get one. :o/ Here's one I did yesterday. It's a huge crop. It was a cold morning and he had his warm down on. :o)

Great pictures !!! These little falcons are a very "flighty" subject to get good photos of. We have several of these that hang out down by the Ohio river. They are indeed, one of the most beautiful raptors native to the U.S. If you don't mind me asking, what was your setup ?

Thanks for looking azlee, I was just lucky to have been in the right place at the right time! You'll get your shot I'm sure! Arizona has some really pretty birds!

exposure 1/640 sec
ISO 125
focal length 300 mm
