Sigma 100-300 mm Lens for Film Shooters

I have a Sigma 100-300 mm Lens with a Canon mount. This lens is for FILM only Cameras. It will not work on Digital cameras.
It is an Auto/Manual focus lens. It also does not have (IS).
Sigma reps have verified that it will only work on film cameras.

I requested help about this lens here on UHH, and MT, also advised me that it was for film cameras not digital. Lens works good as far as I can determine. Works smooth from 100 to 300 mm and to my knowledge does not have any Fungus.

My brother owned this lens an it would not work on his Canon EOS Rebel XTi, so I did some work for him for the lens, that was a waste of time. Won't work on My Canon T4i either. The contacts do not match properly so it won't work.

If you have a Canon A1 or Canon AE1 this lens should work fine.
That is to the best of my knowledge anyway.

I am not selling lens, but the 1st person who wants it an is willing to pay shipping Gets it for that, I would rather give it to someone who could use it, instead of it being a paper weight. ANY TAKERS WELCOME, THE 1ST TO CLAIM IT IT'S YOURS!!!
Pictures shown are B/W conversion. Lens has a Black lens hood that stays on lens when not in use- No Scratches, Dents, Dings of any kind. Silver in color.
PM me if you are interested!

I hope you are not referring to me.
That lens will NOT fit and AE-1 or an A-1. It WILL fit Canon digital bodies. It should also work well on those bodies so long as the AF motor is in working condition. It does have the Canon EOS AF mount. If it would not work on either of the two bodies you mounted it on, then the chances are that the AF drive motor is non-functioning. The chips in the later model digitals are different from the film lenses and there are communication differences that result in some function errors at times.
This lens was originally designed for the Canon EOS film cameras shortly after their release, hence the matching silver color. It is from the early 1990's and was an entry level AF design from Sigma.
My comments to you are here, and you had showed no pictures of the lens at that time:

MT Shooter: yes I was referring to you, but you never told me which camera it was for, so I only assumed that it would fit the A1 or AE1 since I had those film cameras. My fault for assuming without checking.

I was not referring that you told me it would, but after reading it over again it does seam to imply that, but that was never my intention.
I apologize for any mis-representation that it may have implied.

The member that did ask for it, I will PM an let him know what I found out, from your help on this lens. Sorry if I mis-represented.
I will send now to member what I now know. Thank you for your help. Hal
