I got rained on when I took this eagle photo. The eagle was about 100-125 feet away. Shot at 600mm.

Canon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm - 1/500 - f/8 - ISO @ 1250. Distance was about 100-125 feet to the eagle.

Regis you have great photos of Eagles. Are they in the wild or captive. If wild how do you get within 100-125 feet. Our Eagles are so often far away and DNR wants to keep you at a distance which I understand. But it would be great to get closer. Thanks.

You can't always pick your weather conditions, so if I have to get wet to get the eagle shot without harming my camera and lens, I will give it a try. Thank you, Gary, for your good reply and for looking at my photos.

The Bald Eagles are wild. They migrate from northern Canada and Alaska each year to feed on our spawning salmon here in North Idaho. The lake area is surrounded by mountains and forests making it fairly easy to sneak up on the eagles for a good photo. Plus, the main paved road is nearby making it easy to stop the car for a quick shot. Thank you, Bill, for your nice comment.

I really appreciate your kind comment, Judy. I thank you for looking at my photos. I always try my best to show the eagles and other birds at their best.

This photo was taken last January and is from my vast Bald Eagle photo inventory. I never posted it before. I rarely get sick even though I'm a Diabetic. He's saying, "Hurry up and take my picture, I have a fish to catch".
Thank you, CarlySue, for your wisdom. I hope you are not getting a lot of snow.
