I use some stuff the camera store sells for the lenses and a micro fiber cloth. You don't want to do it unless it is needing it. They have a coating on them that you can wear off if you use harsh clears on them.

880-grit sandpaper.

Well, not really. I use a microfiber cloth.

I'd read the reviews on that new spit before you run out and buy it. I'm not hearing good things about it

I always use a "squeeze" blower first to remove any little thingies that might scratch. Then, if needed, a microfiber cloth. As a last resort photographic lens cleaner spray and a microfiber cloth. Spray the cloth, not the lens. NEVER use a window cleaner like Windex or GlassPlus. NEVER!!!!

I vote for the LensPen also. Best thing I have ever found. Just be sure you get the right size to fit on your lens. Got mine from Amazon.
Erv brings up a good point. Does the use of a LensPen, or any cleaning system, wear off the lens coating?

I only use the cleaners that are made for the lenses. And when I use the Lens Pen I go very light with a micro cloth first just in case there is dirt or sand on it. Then use the pen.
