Got an email add from B&H listing a price drop on the Canon 5dMii and the 6d. The 6d price drop was $300 to a now $1399. Any speculation on that, such as perhaps new upgrades in the winds? Since I have a 6d, I could get a gas attack for a 6dmkii 8-) . Having two similar bodies could mean not changing lens as much. Right now my second body is an ancient 20d.

There have been rumors and speculation about a 6DII, but nothing to hang your hat on. I too am curious about a MKII because I have a 6D. Don't know that I would trade up though, but I am curious.

The price drop reflects aggressive grey market sales. Just last week I saw BigValueInc selling 5DIII's for $1949. To help authorized dealers Canon adjusted their MAP and instead of mail in rebates they made them instant.

The only mention of new besides a Rebel is is the 5DS/R and that's slated for June which is uncharacteristic of Canon. Usually they make announcements with very little wait time. I'm speculating they've seen a good number of users tired of waiting for a big megapixel camera like Nikons D8xx's and realize potential switching has taken place.
