A few of my favorite Bronx Zoo shots...

Not much fond of Zoo shots between the thick plexiglass and captive animals but heres a few I liked. All taken either with my pocket camera (Oly XZ-1) or my superzoom. Bob

Very fine shooting. I have one just like #1 from the same place.

I see why they are your favorites. Well done. #2 is special!
Great shots. Did you use post production to get the softness completely around the subject in #2? I'm still trying to wrap my head around focus planes and DOF. :)

Thanks! The bush in front is sort of in a U after which the back round blends in and meets up with it and as phlash46 pointed out I used a long zoom with relatively small aperture also. Bob

Very awesome set Bob!!! I wish the Zoo here in Cleveland would update it a little. I got a few good shots but the animals didn't have very good living places. I left feeling kind of sad for them. But they are building some better spots for them.:)

Looks like he's up to something...
Thanks for sharing. I am learning so much from this forum. I can look at my old photos and have some understanding of what I did wrong.
