Looking for something to keep you busy? I found this quiet little corner today, but the weather was a bit gloomy, and to add to that, the foreground area is always well-shaded.

I think there might be OK shots in there somewhere with the right adjustments/cropping. Feel free to have a go and do whatever you think works best.

JPG here, DNG to follow.

I tried it as a color shot but it was a little too lacking in color so, here it is as a black and white, distorted, cropped with contrast enhanced.

Wow. Now there's something I hadn't thought of. Nice B&W conversion and a very engaging atmosphere. Thanks SonyA580.

I see you've given them some much-needed colour. This is the sort of potential I hoped would be in there somewhere. Thanks for your efforts, Brian. (You'll probably be in deep sleep by the time I post this - lunchtime UK).

It looks like this thread might have run its course, so I thought I'd post this shot of the "quiet little corner" that I took the above shots from. I say "quiet", but it's only yards away from one of Aberdeen's busiest junctions. Fortunately there's a stone wall to keep out most of the noise.

HA!! That's no hallucination - it's amazingly close to reality! As you can see from the above picture in my last post, it's not exactly how it would have looked if I'd tried to shoot it like that, but spookily close. Thanks for a great effort, RB.
