That's happened to me. The title gets lost way up on top.
Price looks good for its size. When I want hex or octogon effect I use an umbrella, all my softboxes are rectangular or square so I cannot give any hands on report.

I have a 48" x 72" Photoflex Softbox with a Softgrid. My smallest is a 12" x 12" for a hair light. My favorites are the 24" x 36" Softboxes, I have 2. I don't even use any of them anymore as all I do these days is wildlife, I used to use my lighting system for glamour photography.

I love shooting kids. I have two beautiful girls 13 and 11 they are always bringing friends over for photo shoots which is how i get my practice so I definitely need lighting for that kind of shooting I am Looking into a few different things From a lot of tutorials the large octagon seemed to be extremely popular. I have Scott Kelbys Light IT Shoot It and Retouch It book and he's big on the octagon .....I have a simple starter lighting kit that came with two umbrellas and one small soft box plus lights....

My daughter just turned 10. Has her own DSLR and is getting fairly good with it!
Kids are great. Good luck in your ventures!

I own the great big Paul C Buff parabolic umbrella but it was $69.95 but probably a better constructed system than what you are looking at. If it were me, I would go for the next larger one... Flashpoint 16-Rib 64" Parabolic Silver Umbrella because it has many more ribs for shape than the 60 inch which I think only has eight ribs.
They do an 80 incher too but I don't know how much that is, but boy that would throw a lot of light for you. The parabolics give a nice look to the eyes, more of a glamour look to the little sparkling white highlight spot in the eyes.

have a good day.................
How high is the ceiling where you're shooting? That's a factor also. You will be shooting sometimes at downward angles and if you have an 8ft ceiling....aint gonna happen with a big softbox
