Does anyone have advice on sharing Pro Show Gold slideshows with someone out of town. Unless they have PS Gold they can't view them. Am I right? Too much trouble to burn and send a DVD with each revision. I installed the program on my ex's computer this weekend so she can keep up with changes I'm making on a show for our son's wedding. While there I copied the slideshow to a flash drive and opened it on her computer(actually mine) and almost none of the photos would open. Tried YouTube but they muted the soundtrack because the songs I'm using are copyrighted. I'm sure Rod Stewart, Bruno Mars, and Michael Bub'le, (whoever he is) need the money but I did purchase the songs off Itunes. I thought of building a quick web site for this but seems like overkill. Running up against the clock. 95% complete but just like a woman she keeps wanting to make changes. Sorry if I offended anyone with that insensitive remark. Yeah right!
You (they) can download Proshow Presenter which will allow them to view the slideshows. This is a no charge, small download. It gives all the high defination you lose with U-Tube.

How did I miss that? Great!!!!! I'll check it out. Once again UHH comes through. I love this place even if I'm finally banned for my warped sense of humor. Although I'm probably not even in the top 10 when it comes to that.
I'e been using ProShow for years and didn't know about that!
Just got Producer last week. Wonder what I'll miss with that?

Let me know if you have any luck. I tried the download and ran the install and can't find it. Wanted to do a trial run before installing on another computer. Maybe I need some sleep and it'll make sense tomorrow.

Just got the box version of ProShow Gold and looked through the manual. Very got paper manual. Worth the extra $10. I found the section on Presenter. If I install it on another computer do I attach my slideshow file to an email and send it to them. Then they use Presenter to open and run the show? I assume that's how it works. Or am I overlooking something? Thanks for getting me started with this.
Presenter is a separate program so you need to send it and the slideshow.
When they open Presenter it will install itself. Then when they click on the show Presenter will open and run the show.

My question is do I have someone out of town download the Presenter software if I can't be there to do it. Then attach the .psh file to an email. At that point Presenter opens and runs the show. I have a friend in town and we'll download Presenter on his computer before I send a few copies of the slideshow out. Just want to make sure I grasp the workings. Sounds simple enough but that's when you run into problems. That needs to be a Murphy Law. " If it seems simple your in trouble".
Yes, they can download Presenter then you can email them the show.

Thanks! I'll work with it. It'll sure help me out if I can get quick input. Deadline's getting closer on this and I don't need to do changes on the last day when she changes her mind. AGAIN!
I share Proshow slideshows a lot. Have you uploaded it to Photodex?

Again, first I've heard of that. Am trying Presenter on a friends computer tomorrow. I'll check out Photodex. Is it like a hosting site to park your videos? I have another couple that want me to help on their sons wedding in June so I need to figure all this out. Nothing like people thinking your a genius and knowing yourself you've barely scratched the surface. I love working under pressure though. Well, to a certain extent. Thanks to all the UHH'ers for the input.
