Which Olympus m5ii or om-d-m1?

I am looking for a mirrorless travel camera and have narrowed my search to the older Olympus m1 and the soon to be released m5ii. Just curious to any hogs out there that have had the M1 and have read previews of the newer m5ii as to which one I should go with. Obviously the newer model has some tech updates and is a little smaller. Even though I tend to like a larger camera that fits my hands better. Any suggestions? I have a canon 70d with multiple lenses, just looking for a smaller kit that is mirrorless and still takes great photos.

You'll probably be very happy with either. I use the EM1 and the original EM5. I like the both. The EM5II looks great. If you don't have legacy Olympus lenses you want to use, you'll probably be just fine with the EM5II. It addresses my other reasons for adding the eM1- better grip, more customizable buttons. The rest of my bothers with the 5 have been fixed in the firmware. It looks like a wonderful little camera.

If you don't have any legacy lenses, get the em5ii. It's Smaller and will travel better. I use a think tank urban disguise computer bag for work travel, and use a tamrac velocity 6x sling to carry the em1 with rss plate and 12-40 and 75mm lenses. The Tamarac fits inside the think tank main pocket.

You will not regret going to the M43 system for traveling.
These cameras are small, light and have very good image quality.
I use the Olympus EP-5 and EPL-1. I bought an EVF for them but I find that when I do not use the EVF people tend to believe I have a p&s camera and they ignore me. This is great and makes my street photography better.
Good luck with your choice.
